That whole lil wayne being overrated shit is outdated.
What's up now is that Nikki Minaj sounds like a constipated 8 year old that only talks about pussy sex and drugs. She's pretty hot I guess. But no lyrical content and I can't stand her VOICE! I don't know if its a good thing or a bad thing but I actually starting to get used to mainstream lyrics with all the radio music I've been listening to lately(obviously not). But she is beyond more that what I can tolerate. In my opinion she completely destroyed bed rock and not a good way. I don't care how much everyone likes her "rap". ITS NOT CUTE. Rappers should hop off that wanna be lilwayne tip, honestly, its about time. I'm not a hater, I'm just tired of the lack of quality music in my life. I really need to learn how to download music on this computer without Limewire. -_-
On another note, I thought Waving Flag was the most annoying song ever. It plays on the radio like 239839585 times a day and I'm a big radio listener, so I KNOW. I do respect the message being conveyed in the song but I thought Knaan sounded like the modern version of a really shitty Bob Marley.
But I was at HMV today looking for The Beatiful Struggle (which btw is like impossible to be found -_- 3rd HMV already) and the guy recommended me to one of Knaan's cds. Since it was in one of those listening booth thingies I thought I mind as well give it a try. Surprisingly there were A LOT of good tracks. His style is a lot like the roots and there were also some pretty soulful songs too. Here are a couple of the good ones.
